Days 5&6 Rome and Ancona

Yesterday we took a taxi across downtown to the Bourgesse Gardens, which is essentially the central park of Rome. The have a zoo and other attractions there but we went to go see the Bourgesse Museum, which was an old Cardinals Mansion. It was of the same quality as the Vatican. They ha rooms that were like 100 feet across and crazy paintings and stautues. My dad says “It sickens me how much power and greed the church had.” They were a lot of amazing statues there. They had the detail down to every hair and I makes your mind wonder how they did all of that with out messing up once. There was also a giant ceiling fresco of all of the important gods which we stared at for a long time. But there is only so much old stuff I can stare at so we went and rented bikes and rode around the park. After that we walked back to the Spanish steps and the girls went shopping nd had lunch. Then we “suddenly” realized how soon our train was leaving and power walked across town. Then we boarded our train to Ancona, Italy and went on our way. The train station was actually very easy. There was no security and boarding the train took as long as walking from the cab to our seats. I guess we are just waiting for Al Queda to screw that one up too. We arrived in Ancona three hours later at A resturaunt called Rosa. It was the first super modern resturaunt we have been too. They had cool furniture and big flat screen TV’s everywhere that were Showcasing Argentina whoop Greece. It was also a Cremaria, we all ordered dessert thinking it would be normal but they brought out giant bowls with icecream presented in cool ways. I had the lasgna ice cream that looked exactly like lasagna, it didn’t taste like it of course though. The next adventure was taking a shower in our very European hotel rooms. The bathroom was about 4 feet by 8 feet and the shower was literally 2 by 2. Our whole room was 200 sq feet. Anyway now I am on a park bench in Ancona writing, although I should be arriving in Croatia right now. The seas were to rough this morning so the super speed boat that was suppossed to take across the Adriatic in four hours. Now we are schedualed for the boat tonight, that takes 12 hours. Shit happens though. Early dad and I climbed to the top of the Mountain and saw the whole city from above so that was fun. We took some tourist pictures at the top and Just ate lunch with the family. Now we are waiting for our boat at 6 party.
